Canon Powershot SD 1000-Lens not functioning-HELP????!!??
My camera's lens will not come out. This not only means that I cannot take photos with it but that I can neither view nor upload those already stored on it....Does anyone have any troubleshooting tips until I can get it fixed? or is it totally kaput?
I do have battery power by the way!

I had a Canon Powershot SD 1000 and exp'd the same problem. #1 IF you are still under warrantly contact Canon and they will fix for no charge. #2 IF not under warranty you can still contact them and they will fix for a fee.

Actually the phone # link did not work for me but the email link did. Their will be a cust service # on the retail box or instruction manual.
From what I understand...this is a problem that plagues some of the Canon models. It happened to my friend's cam and they replace it free of charge (but his was still under warranty).
