Rock and Roll is very diverse. That's what makes it so great. It appeals to anyone that is against the mainstream.

I love Classic Rock. It stands the test of time.
So much great music was put out then.
That's why there are so many classic rock stations out there.

seems kids are forgetting the roots of rock and buying into the emo poor me my girlfriend dumped me crap.
rock has changed its no longer about feeding the rebel that grows inside you on a daily bases , it no longer screams reputation from the authority's .
no nowadays main stream "rock" is watered down and diluted so bad that there is only a thread of it left.

Like the first answerer said it: "not anymore dude..." It is for me though, because I've been delving deep into 60's garage punk compilations for the past two years. There's still so much good stuff from way past that's been overlooked, but it's new to me.

Yea, cuz new rock blows compared to the old stuff...can't stand the "whiney" ride the radio gives us nowadays.

Unfortunately, no. Rap and hip hop are taking over, and it sucks. I guess corporate rock is pretty prevalent, as well, and that also sucks.

As has already been said "Not any more".
But for those of us who grew-up on 'the real thing', and still listen to it, and are always looking for more, then yes, it still is!
