I have some old .cdr files, which I understand are Corel Draw, how can I convert them to a format i can view?

I dont have Corel Draw, and dont want to purchase software to convert files which may prove useless to me. Converting them to .bmp, .pdf or any regular file type would be great.

Update:

Thanks for the offer to do the conversion for me and thanks to the contributor that suggested Irfan view, it worked well enough to show me that the files I have are worthless. Many thanks to all for your answers

Unfortunately, you have no alternatives other than to get someone with CorelDraw and ask them to convert the whole page to a metafile or bmp.

    Download this free software:

    http://www.irfanview.net/

Use it's Batch Conversion/rename option from the File menu.

Find the cdr file you want to convert. Clikc on it, click the Add button.

Find the type of file you want it converted to in the Output format drop-down list.

    Click Start...job done.

Probably install a rasterizing program that can convert your .cdr files into a more useful format, like .bmp, .jpg or .gif.

Go to www.download.com and see what they can offer you in terms of software. I have Photoshop CS2, which has a built in rasterizing tool.

no other way than having corel draw to convert them. what i would suggest is get the trial version for the 15 days and be ready to convert them straight away. only way sorry to say to do it no other software can change them other than corel software to what i know.
