I fancy a short European break in about March next year. Where do you recommend?
Going from the UK - not fussed about travel arrangements. Looking for somewhere cheapish and relatively close with lots of things to see. Where would you go for five days (can be Europe or UK)?
I like exploring, but I don't want to hire a car so a city break with lots of stuff nearby on foot would be good.

Paris has a lot to offer and you could easily spend 5 days there and have stuff to do for the future!
Prague is a lovely, lovely city...its good value for money compared to say Paris which lets face it can be expensive. I went on a couple of day tours to places, I recommend Cesky Krumulov if you can do it...its a lovely little town.
For both cities you can get around to the main places on foot and see a lot just meadering around......

each and every ecu u . s . a . has some thing exciting!!! It relies upon on waht do you somewhat (nature, subculture, coastline, clubbing, snowboarding), individually i'm very fascinated on North or important ecu countries, reason i don't understand that element of Europe, however the Mediterranean countries are very particular. attempt between the former Yugoslavia countries (Dubrovnik in Croatia is an exceptionally marvelous city), Italy, south France, Portugal, Spain, Greece and Turkey are healthful, friendly, humorous and eye-catching. yet in addition Scandinavia is massive, Poland (with impressive cities, not purely Warsaw or Krakow), the imperial cities (Prague, Vienna, Budapest), the agricultural enchant of Romania... confusing answer, sorry... ;-)

you should try prague, czech. in the city center, there's LOTS of places there that you just walk to on foot. and the great thing about it is, everything's cheap. but the quality is still good. hope that helps. haha, if you like, they're even more crazy about beer than the germans. prague has the most beer per capita consumption in the world.
