Prague, Best places to visit?

My wife and I are both off to Prague Next Week for a couple of days Spring Holiday. Can you recommend any good Historic / Cultural to visit within the city area? Already have a small list including the Charles Bridge, but if you have any personnal experiances of extremly fine Churches, Museums, Halls, Palaces, Gardens, etc (especially if they have a lot of History) then I would be grateful.

Many Thanks in Advance

A very romantic time can be had at the outdoor candle lit restaurant under the main Charles bridge on the southside. Admittedly the food is lacking in some ways but then praque isnt great for food, go there for the architecture, the other sites are well documented. Take a day out to the Terezin fort, taken over by the nazis as a holding camp for jews, etc, albeit an hours coach journey away.

i could % Prague besides. that is actual that Vienna has some cultural treasures that are marvelous, yet taken as an entire Prague has lots greater to furnish to the focused visitor. The shape is marvelous (truthfully, each and every construction interior the city centre is greater desirable than a century old), the pubs and cafes are great and there is not any contest on the ambience - Prague wins arms down. human beings there are greater open, greater friendly, greater tolerant and greater welcoming. in case you're into procuring, you're additionally greater valuable off in Prague because of the fact the dep. shops there are open longer and don't lock up for the weekend. And as somewhat greater desirable, Prague is likewise greater low-value all around.

Really beautiful city, stunning buildings and a great atmosphere in my opinon. Be aware, though, that the city centre - especially the southern part - has something of a reputation as a stag/hen weekend resort for people from the UK , so unless clubbing with boozed up Brits is your thing avoid the centre avoid that area on Friday & Saturday nights would be my advice. That said, it's definately worth the trip. Take plenty of warm clothes, and don't miss the castle!

    Hi,

You probably already have the basics. Personally I would skip the National Museum unless you like old, dusty museums with LOTS of rocks.

But do consider some out of town trips too, like Castle Karlstejn which is an easy train ride from the city.
