Can you recommend a book whose author's surname begins with Y?

Question

I know this is strange. I like to have themes in my reading throughout the year. I generally stumble on these accidentally. I'm currently reading something by an author called Thomas Zigal, so I thought why not go through the alphabet of author's surnames backwards?
I like crime, history, humour, horror. I don't like sci-fi or Mills & Boonish romance. If you can recommend any tricky letters (x, q) they'd also be appreciated.

Y - One Man's Justice (WWII fiction) - Akira Yoshimura
Y - Margaret Yorke - she writes crime/mystery novels

Yahoo! Answers is sort of like a book.  There's knowledge, questions brought up in the beginning that are later (edit) answered, there's drama, even humor sometimes.

If Y!A was a book I'd read it.
