Why camcorder images are only Black and white on the HD Plasma TV?

I connected my JVC MiniDV camcorder with my new Panasonic Plasma TV (HD) through Toshiba DVD player with S-video cable.But the video imges are black and white.

Can someone explain what went wrong Please?
