Nintendo DS WiFi?! WEP?
I can't connect because my access point's security settings are not supported by the DS?! >_<
My netgear router uses WPA security ...do I have to change it to WEP? Is there another way to connect? Is WEP safe? How do I change it? lol *hits head on desk* O_o eeeeeeeh heeelp?!
Thank you!~ :D

If you do not wish to compromise the security of your network the best thing to do is get a usb wireless dongle for your PC and have that running on WEP - then you can disconnect the dongle when you are not using your DS online and you don't have to mess with your router settings.
It's not the perfect solution - that would be if Nintendo had built WPA into the DS - but hopefully it's a good middle ground.

sure, it extremely is going to disconnect them AND disable any protection they have set up on the on the spot community. Press the "production unit reset" on the back of a router will nromally disable all protection features. rather, why not ask them to retrieve the WEP key which you may apply?

WEP is safe. I'm sure nobody wants to spend the time trying to break into your router.
