Costs of food /taxis in Cyprus?

Hi, We are a family of 6 (2 adults and 4 kids ages 10,7,2 and 1) Going to Cyprus for 2 weeks in October. We have rented a villa in Coral Bay.

Do you have any tips on where to eat, and the cost of both eating out and in?

Also we have not hired a car so any advice on taxi's would be of help as well as local supermarkets etc. - Or should we look to hire a car.

We are on a bit of a tight budget as since booking our circumstances have changed.

Hi,
1. Regarding the food there are many restaurants to Coral Bay and Paphos area, of all price ranges. There are also Pizza Hut, KFC, Mcdonalds with logical prices (a meal at Macdonalds is about 5 euro). Because October is not a high season most of the restaurants offer set menus with very reasonable prices. Since you will be living in a villa, you could cook for yourself. Carefour and Papantoniou are the best Supermarkets you can buy anything for cooking.
2. There is a bus line from Coral Bay to Paphos which is much cheaper than a taxi, since the distance between Paphos and Coral Bay is about 15 minutes. The price for  renting a car is about 40Euro per day  which is the best solution if you can afford renting one.

I've never found the food to be all that expensive, certainly quite cheap as opposed to home.
However, I actually think it would be better to hire a car, as the taxi's can be quite expensive and the three times that I've been there - short journeys can cost loads... and one particular driver didn't even know where he was going, and had to stop off again at the base to see where it was, and then furthermore drove like a maniac :s
