what is tassa powder made from?
i wanted something to help me sleep and when i looked it came up with a lot of sites mentioning tassa powder what is the ingredient for this is it a plant or mixture of plants i don't like taking tablets so sleeping tablets are out please help me or id the ingredients

Searching the web I found this mentioned as a poison and as having numbing properties. It was on witchcraft sites & in fantasy literature so I'd assume it's either make believe or something you don't want to be messing with. It's not in any of my herbals.
Go to the health food store and ask for something to help you sleep. They will show you products with a combination of valerian root, passion flower, hops, California poppy, chamomile and/or possibly melatonin and magnesium or calcium. Some of these are available in liquid drops.
Since you don't like pills, you might like Celestial Seasonings Sleepytime tea or Traditional Medicinals Nighty Night tea.
