I believe someone has hacked my Facebook account, even after deactivating and restarting it.?

I've had a Facebook account for some time and everything has been fine with it until today. My contacts were sent a video, apparently by me, but I didn't send it. It was done without my knowledge or consent. As my account was compromised, I immediately deactivated my account and re-started it using a different email address and password. Within an hour of me setting up the new account someone added me as a group member for a video group, again without my knowledge or consent. Can someone tell me what could be the problem here and what I should do about it?

If you have tried changing your passwords and it still happens, chances are your computer has been infected with the Facebook virus "Knoobface" worm which has been going around.

If you can get access to another computer, please use that computer immediately to change your facebook password. Then, DO NOT logon to facebook on the infected computer until it has been disinfected.

Please run a anti-malware scan using any antivirus programs you may have, in addition to http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ . If it finds any infections, delete them all.

Then try logging into facebook and monitor your account for the next few days to see if the "weird behaviour" continues.

If it does then further action will be needed to disinfect your computer. Please consider posting in the computer section, or of course message me.

N.B. To be on the safe side you could also consider changing all your password on any and every passwords you have entered using the infected computer.

File a lawsuit to face book, that'll get their attention. Talk to someone in person from face book. Delete what you can in the meantime.

the only thing you can do is contact facebook and ask them the times you "logged in" and ask them for the computers alr address if it isnt your computers then you know someone is hacking in to your account.
