Why do most men get into the fast lane at the pool, regardless of how well they can swim?

and why do they then set off when you have caught them up from miles away?

that is like so true...lol... Like when im at my swim trainin n im observin the medim or slow lanes its mainly ladies arein it or older guys....then the men -middle aged n young, will always be all up in it, even if they slow as hell........... U know why i think its like that- because men are so competitive and its just their nature to prove that they are good at w/e they do(esp. sports) and the speed comes hand in hand with how well u can swim...Also it as alot to do with their EGO...lol..they wanna be macho n shyt n so if u are catchin up on they slow asss as u swim in their lanes, theyre so gnna try to prove that they are faster even if their last energy they've got.....Thats jus men overall ---full of it!!!

Because most of us like to show off our skills, but many of us who try this fail badly and get embarressed.. Mainly it's just impressing people :-S
