Transferring a programme from Sky + box to dvd ?

Is there any way that I can transfer programmes to a dvd and omit the adverts at the start of each prog. ? Or is there no way of separating the adverts from the progs ? I switch the transfer off when each prog ends so as to cut the adverts. Any help appreciated.

Hi Little Weed: I bought a Sony 970. It is a Hard Drive recorder/player that does most formats of DVD and you can edit before you put the programme on disc. it will also copy/backup a DVD and you can attach your camera/camcorder to put videos on to disc. You can also use it as a juke box for music. My pal puts programmes from Sky+ onto disc for me, but they are never edited. Good luck, hope you find a way out.

Sorry, I don't have the answer so, I'm just going to wait and see if someone can tell you, so that I know how to do it too! :-)
