It is all a storm in a tea cup the remark was made 3 years ago it was a nick name for a friend someone has made money out of this by selling the video which was made by prince Harry himself by selling it to a rag newspaper who ever it was who sold it to the newspaper should be exposed and shown up for what they are a scamming money maker the whole thing should be forgotten I notice that the person who the remark was focused at has not said anything at all and think that that speaks volumes that he is not bothered about it

as an ex serviceman i sympathise with him.nicknames of all sorts abound in the forces.i won't be naive and say it is never racist but i can say i have served with oppos from many different ethnic and religious backgrounds and jock paddyTaffyf paki proddy taig were used in daily parlance with no offence meant or taken.this country has come a long way in the last forty years which is where this "non story"is trying to drag us back to.will the notw ever break a real and relevant story.

I think he should be left alone and yes to get away with saying something MOST of us have said, if not that, then something equally as derogatory about someone else.

Remember Harry has been and fought on the front line in Afghanistan and that is something that MOST of us have not done.

He is a fine upstanding young man who's mother would be so proud.

Leave Harry alone, he's the only half normal one of the lot. Well, him, Wills, Beatrice, Euginie and the other grandkids.

Ashley above, go meet a squaddie. Do yourself a favour and get educated.

I think everyone should get over it. It's like Jade Goody the sequel. The matter only concerns Harry and his comrade and is typical of the kind of un-pc relations these guys have. Nobody has been hurt, it wasn't intended as a racist slur, and I, for one, am so over it!

I think he is a nice young man who had a dreadful start in life through the loss of his mother. I think he is just another human being who unfortunately has to live his life in the spotlight. I am sick of people and the media making something out of everything he says and does.

I don't think the matter deserved even a minute of air time. It's absolutely ridiculous to pay any attention to it. What he said wasn't said or meant in an angry or nasty way. It is not unusual for a bunch of young lads to speak like that among themselves. If the man in question had been Irish, for example, and called Paddy, or French and called 'froggy' I doubt we'd have even got to hear about it.

Think about the repercussions, if hes guilty then the entire Armed forces will have to be disciplined as I will bet my balls they have all said a lot worse. I am sure they will be having a laugh over a few beers thinking WTF is happening on civvy street. or lets get back home and kick these looney left PCers out.

I'm laughing at Ashley's suggestion he should act like a soldier. He was acting EXACTLY like a soldier. They all have nicknames for each other and the use of the words 'my friend' hardly seem abusive. Can you imagine what they call him with his colouring?? And how exactly should he be punished? Should his tongue be cut out? Madness. I think it's a massive over-reaction and his only crime was to get caught.

    he SHOULD be punished!!

calling a pakistani a paki is nothing like calling someone British a Brit. Paki is an offensive word, similar to calling a black person a ******.

and the 'rag head' comment?? seriously, who does he think he is?

prince William has spent his entire life trying to show everyone that Diana's children have the capability to behave like decent humans, but Harry? there is only one word for someone like him: ignorant!

    PUNISH HIM!!

a young man who was having a bit of banter with like minded young men

this situation has been hijacked by those who like to be offended

one such person wants harry to apologise to him and his kind individually .......

i hope it stops these people from being racist towards everyone else.....in my experience they are among the most racist living in britain .....and the first to complain of racism against them

see how pc these people were while rioting in london the other day .....hypocrites in the extreme

he should be left alone ......and not be pilloried to pander to the easily offended .....here or abroad
