How can I get an appointment at the US embassy London: they're fully booked?

I'm a US citizen and need an embassy appointment to register the birth of my daughter. I'm in no great hurry, just want to get it sorted.

The online appointments system shows no available appointments. I've looked time and again over the last three months, and it's perpetually fully booked. Occasionally I've seen one or two appointments at 8:30 am (for which I'd have to get the kids up at 4am!), but even those are hard to come by.

Is there a particular time when new appointments are released onto the system? Is there another way I could book an appointment besides the website? I do see a premium-rate appointments phone line listed, but that seems to be specifically for non-US nationals who are seeking visas.

Don't they have an American section? I travel and from time to time I must use the U S embassy the lines are long I'm told to go to the front of the line as these are non-Americans trying to get a visa go to the American section and wait no more than half an hour in the American section Never been to the one in London But I do recognise the attitude of the two Brits that responded Really never seen a American embassy that Americans had to make an appointment How you enjoying their anti American BBC?

Try the immigration site here on yahoo ask them if Americans need to make an appointment at the embassy in London or can they just walk in

Fully booked? Nonsense, my wife and I ate there last night. The salmon mousse was excellent.

why not sneak yourself in as a chef, like steven segal in under seige.

he has a seal phone with a direct link to, not the president, but the guy just down from him who's "his kind of ***&hole" and tells the other suits round the table, that, "i can vouch for this guy".
