Is there gay life in Viana do Castelo, Portugal, or this town is really homophobic?

More isolated, traditional village type places, will not have had much experience of gay people, hence they may appear homophobic.

theres nothing on wikipedia to suggest its really homophobic, i guess its about as gay life-ish as any other portugese city.
