Hi, Toshiba is known for this. I think your battery is OK.

The common problem with Toshiba is the A/C jack. Try this and you will know for sure. Where the A/C adapter plugs into your laptop (have it plugged in) gently wiggle the adapter and watch the lights on the front. If lights turn green you will have to have the jack soldered.

That should work, gently wiggle the adapter and lights should turn green.

  • A few different things

Your power converter on the laptop could be out

The hard drive, ram or cpu could allbe dead and through a built in fail safe one of them is preventing the computer form starting up

The best way to be sure is to see if it can be fixed under warrentee

    Wsh I could help more

You have come across a motherboard problem.

If the laptop is under warranty, contact either the manufacturer or the place of purchase for tech support.

I think that possibly there is a problem with the power to the motherboard or the motherboard it's self. Whatever, it's going to be a workshop job so it can be properly bench tested.

Did it work recently with JUST the battery...no AC adapter? I've seen this happen with laptops with a BAD battery and a bad AC adapter.

it may be a harddrive problem..your harddrive might be about to die..backup your important stuff and clone your drive and replace your harddrive...if your drive dies and locks up then your out of luck
