1. Listen
2. Acknowledge the problem - apologize (without accepting blame or giving excuses) if appropriate. Use their name. ("Mr. Smith, I'm sorry you've had to wait so long.")
3. If you can't resolve the problem yourself, find out who can, and contact that person.
4. Assure them the issue will be taken care of, and take care of it.
5. Don't take offense - it's not personal.

1. Listen. A lot of times all they want to do is get something off their chest.
2. Remember while you are listening, it is most likely not you or your fault, but all the other frustrations they've had to deal with that day or in their life as a whole.
3. Maintain your respect for yourself. If you know you are doing a good job, then they are likely venting.
4. Treat them with respect and get them to focus on the service you are providing. Ask them what you can do to make it right for them, then make sure it is done.

Okay first I would just bribe them.... I guess.... so they leave happy probobly.... idk.... hope that helped???
