Three course meal ideas for 6 people for £15?!?

6 of us have decided to do a come dine with me type thing, and have to do a 3 course meal for us all for a budget of £15. I'm not a bad cook, but am struggling to come up with some original ideas that are reasonable simple to do within the budget. We're scoring each other, so need something good!! Any ideas would be very gratefully recieved!!

Tight budget - you sure no-one else is going to cheat? ;)

A simple soup to start sounds good. Frozen peas actually make a great low cost soup, blitzed with a little cream and seasoning. Keep the rest of the cream to serve with dessert! Cost, about £3.50, factoring in a biggish tub of single cream.

Maybe pasta or risotto as a main? Spinach and Ricotta Cannelloni should be within budget (about £9? less if you have parmesan in the fridge already). If your friends are meaty meat eaters, maybe a tomato based pasta with bacon and black olives, which should come in a touch cheaper.

The leftover cash I'd splodge on strawberries. They're in season so some good deals to be had if you shop around. Serve with the cream :)

Corn chowder for starters - really easy sweetcorn and potato soup - chilli con carne for main - mince beef, onions, kidney beans and packet mix - with either rice or jacket potatoes and a green salad - and for pudding you could try making a cake or cheat and buy a chocolate cake and serve with ice cream

    Good luck xxx

Go to Sainsbury. There are adverts on the tv about feeding your family for £5
