Engagement ring? what hand is it worn?

Stupid Question but i have my mothers engagement ring that was passed on to me when she died, and i wanna wear it on the opposite hand, dont want people starting rumours ha ha

    you are meant to wear it on the left hand, ring finger. :)

    in your case for the opposite hand then you wear it on your right.

    Yes, right hand to avoid rumours as you've already had confirmed. How about putting it on a chain? That's how my wife wears her Grandmothers ring from time to time, and it's neat.

    So pop it on your right hand.

    Obviously, if it is an engagement ring given to you by your fiance then you wear it on your left hand. However I wear my gran's engagement ring on my right hand - it's up to you.
