How would you deal with 21 puppies in a litter?

Just read the news, this is a video of odd news about one minute or so into the video there is the story of the dog that recently gave birth to 21 puppies.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/hi/newsbeat/newsid_...

Those who still want to breed their dogs, what do you think about the prospects of having so many puppies?

Update:

If that was me, I am leaving the country. lol

21 puppies crying all night, the poor mother must be so exhausted.

that's to many pups for 1 mother dog to deal with. i hope the breeder is finding/found a arrogant (prob spelled that wrong) mother to help with these pups and the mom. after 21, i hope they spay her, i don't know how her body handled that and that's more then enough for 1 dog to give birth to in a lifetime let alone in one litter!!!!

I was exhausted by 10! If I had 21 I would have to hire a nanny. Although my girl's mother just whelped a litter of 18, so that's not too far fetched.

Ive known weimaraners to get on up there in size of litter, I know someone who had 16 healthy puppies in her litter. I also know someone who had 12 bulldogs but lost 2 of them, the remaining 10 were perfectly healthy.

I would do rotation myself no ***** has 21 nipples, so rotation is mandatory, supplement with formula and what not. Of course all this would be done reputably, unlike what it seems those people did.

  • I happened to catch a glimpse of that story on the news yesterday. Insane!

I would never breed, but I'm sure the ones on here that are doing it for the money would think they just hit the motherlode though.

I don't want to breed and will never breed and when i saw 21 puppies i say good luck to them its something i know i could never deal with

4 kids and 1 dog is enough!

  • YIKES!

I would first be looking for a foster mother to take some of the pups.

Then I'd start advertising like crazy to have enough suitable homes lined up.

  • OMG! I would like to see what she looked like before she gave birth! lol

21 puppies would be a handful!
