Where's the best place to learn the basics for Photoshop Elements?

I have recently bought photoshop elements 6 for mac and I am rather overwhelmed by the amount of complex tasks you can do on it and really I would like to learn the basics. I went on youtube but it only has guides for how to do very specific tasks and not a general introduction to the program. Ideally I would like it to be in video format. PLEASE HELP!!!

There is a great website that I have used to learn new software.  It's called VTC (www.vtc.com).  For each software they will have a few tutorials that are free and then you have to pay to get the whole series.  It's only a few dollars a month and they have hundreds of softwares.  No contract so you can sign up for a month, learn what you want and then cancel it.
