Resturant business in nepal?? beer barrels. (draught beer)(serious answers plz)?

I m originally from nepal and currently living of england since last 5 years.. i was wondering if i could find any suppliers of beer barrels (foster, Kingfishers, cobra, etc.) in nepal. i don't mind to import it from india or china..

i have been to many good restaurants in nepal but they don't do drought/tape beer which is much more cheaper then bottle beer and nice as well. so i was wondering if there is anyone who can supply drought beer to nepal then i am willing to open nice restaurants with drought beer. and i believe it will be unique in nepal.

i would like to request everyone if u know someone who does it then please provide me link or contact address

First check to see what your local laws are about alcohol. Often there are separate licensees to make, sell, and import alcohol. After you secure these, check for distributors that can sell you kegs. What I suspect is that it will be cost prohibitive.

You can check on the laws that allow you to make beer, and sell it. Then see if it is more feasible to build a brewery then to import kegs. Also check with breweries in Nepal:

    (Carlsberg)

    PO Box 4140

    Hattisar

    Kathmandu

    Nepal

    Telephone: +977 1-4444445

    (Singha / Chaudhary Group)

    PO Box 1017

    Sanepa

    Kathmandu

    Nepal

    Telephone: +977 1-5525039

Mount Everest Brewery (Pvt.) Ltd. Not open to the public (as far as I know)

    1213 Bina Chambers

    Exhibition Road

    Kathmandu

    Nepal

    Telephone: +977 1-25912

    Brewer: Gokul Palikhe

    contact a local liquor distributor

its illegal in most of the world to ship alcohol over international borders, so you contact a local liquor distrubtor, and they will then take care of getting it from a distributor in whatever other country, and then you purchase it from them. Not sure about laws in Nepal, but your best bet is to contact your local liquor control board and finding out the laws and regulations you have to deal with.

that sounds extremely difficult to me. you would probably have to import from delhi; that sounds expensive. there are three breweries in kathmandu, gorkha owned by carlsberg, mount everest, and sungold (which is Singha).

why not start a brewpub? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microbrewery#Brewpub

i met some guys in california that started a small place, basically a pizza and beer place. they built their entire brewery behind the bar.
