At least 24 but you may even require 30 square yards if your room has corners, nooks and crannies!

When you lay it, be sure that you have the carpet edge square on to the wall and your carpet must also have a square edge to begin with.

Get a leaflet from the DIY shop on Carpet Laying, If you are in the UK then B&Q or any big DIY shop.

Your request in yards makes me wonder if you are an American or old like me?

    Best wishes.

221 s/f plus just a bit for any type pattern match ( if needed). Carpet is no longer sold in s/ys. You may want to add or need a bit more just for working purposes, but an 18' 2"x12 pc should do it with a 1/4 turn in the seaming. That going off your given measurements.

But to get technical, thats 24.55 s/ys

Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar,GL

Ben in simple terms needs to ask the carpet company to offer him a finished value. Ben shouldn't attempt to do all this coplicated math. Ben isn't clever adequate to determine it out on his own.
