Engineering ETAP Electrical Calculation softwarem advice please?

Hello.

I have recently installed the ETAP power calculation software (Electrical calculation software).

This is software that I haven't used before and I am keen to learn about it so my question is - Do any of the Yahoo Answers community have a simple users guide to the software, or a link to an online guide (I have had a quick look on the etap website - there are demonstrations but no users guide that I can see)?

If I can be a bit cheeky - do any of you have a sample project made up in there that you could email me ad I can figure it out from there? That would be very useful.

Thanks for your advice in advance

Update:

Thanks for that Monophoto, Ill add a few details to stop your confusion.

I am sure that you are aware that you wouldn't consider usng this type of software without a good knowledge of electrical distribution systems and this is not what I was asking - I know what it does, I know the results it will give.

I want a simple users guide - it is similar to the other software suites I have and have used but like all engineering software it has its own unique points - and that is what I am asking for, a simple guide to get me up to speed quickly.

As for illegal downloads of software - this is OK for a home user but for profesional users it is not a viable option to have illegal software. How many home users do you know who need to calculate the fault levels on a 11kv power line?

The assumption that asking questions regarding newly installed software refers to pirated copies is not a good one to make.

If you don't know what it's used for, why do you have it?

Electric power can be dangerous. Have you considered the possibility that trying to do something you don't understand using software you aren't familiar with could kill someone?

And if you don't know what it's used for, then why did you spend the money to buy the software?

Or perhaps, your question is an admission that you have an illegal copy of the software.

Sometimes, it's better to remain ignorant than to ask stupid questions that reveal your ignorance to the world.

(By the way, the owner of the company that publishes ETAP is a personal friend - I'm sure that he will be happy to hear that you have publicly admitted to having a pirated copy of his product.)
