is it good to work somewhere that you are not happy in a job?
if someone is working in a factory and they are not happy because they are asked to work shifts is this right that they can let you go? it doesn't seem fair to me? plus you need to be happy in the job you do. plus they are doing there best by working the normal standard hours.

be happy at whatever you do. if you're not happy, then move on.

the only thing fair in life is only what we think. in reality things just happen. we all have a decision of our own. we can accept it or fight for whats right.
what isn't fair is that there are kids on the street starving. people starving while other people are warm in their own beds.
but i suppose its only survival of the fittest. just don't take things for granted people.
as for the job goes what do you think? i worked in a factory before. they need people to do many different things. its boring and cold too. but a job is a job. if you can't handle switches maybe you should have worked somewhere else. either way every job will have you doing multiple things. these are called promotions or simply because something else needs more attention.
when it comes to jobs its not about you anymore its about doing a good job and doing what the the Boss says. and if you have a family who misses you at home and doesn't really agree with the job you have because its making you miss kids/wife change and get older and you miss out on it. family always comes first.

This may be a good time to negotiate with your employer, ask for more hours to suit you as you have commitments at home. Be reasonable as the employer too has deadlines and targets to meet.
In the meantime try looking for a new job, get your CV up to date and do some research as to what other jobs you could do.
Maybe a leisure time activity could be expanded and made into a small home business, i.e. catering or courier......
Talk with your friends about the situation, be positive, and sure enough another opportunity will come along.
Good Luck

being not happy about a job has to include more than one factor. Working hours are one of these factors. But what matters the most is loving the nature of the work. If yo love what you do and it satisfies you, then you can let go and accept the difficult working hours.
If not, then you have to re-consider.

if u r not happy, go find another job. meanwhile, try to cope the best you can, knowing that there are lots of people out there wihtout jobs and that they are gviving u money to feed you and put a roof over your head. Yes, employer can let u go, if you dont like shifts or other things they do, as there are lots of other people dont mind and happy with what are given.

The hours you are supposed to work are in your contract of employeement, they cannot make you work shifts if this is not in the contract, but before you leave the job get another lined up.
