Help in pain, can dentist break jaw?

It is extremely unlikely that your jaw is broken from an extraction especially if you are a young healthy individual. If you were a 90 year old little lady, then possibly, but no.

If its broken, then usually you would notice that your bite on one side has changed, ie,your teeth don't meet together how they used to. Its more likely to be bruising, muscle / joint pain, or infection.

I am a former Dental Nurse and had a tooth out 10 days ago. My jaw is still tender. When a tooth comes out it can easily bruise the bone and surrounding gum. this will wear off in time. I am only now able to eat on that side. Have patience it will wear off soon. Keep trying to stretch your jaw it should help the stiffness.

Usually the pain would have worn off by now.

However your tooth may have been surrounded by inflamed gums or something, I don't know. No offense of course.

Sometimes, dentists do hurt your mouth when ripping the tooth out as a lot of force is needed.

If the pain persists, I'd see a doctor just in case.

I doubt it is broken just very bruised. My dentist knocked my jaw bone when I had a wisdom tooth out once and it was very painful for days - sorry! - keep taking painkillers regularly!
