What are some good mmorpgs that are f2p?
Preferably without an extensive item mall. I am interested in mythology, legends and fiction in general. I have tried godswar and all the other igg games but wasn't interested. Runescape is also a little to boring.

Runescape is the only game that fits your requirements, at least within my knowledge. Maplestory MAY interest you but it's worse than Runescape (yeah, it's possible). If you don't mind paying though, World of Warcraft would be PERFECT for you. It has plenty of fiction and it's own backstory (lore) and mythology in a sense.
Also, if you don't mind paying for an actual disk, Guildwars might interest you. Theres just a one time fee then your free to play as long as you wish. However, I still suggest World of Warcraft.
If you want, you can try it for free for 10 days with absolutely NO CHARGE whatsoever. What do you have to lose? You may LOVE it! Go to http://warcraft.com/ to lean more about and play the 10 day free trial.

World of warcraft is perfect! Especially now that the new expansion is coming. It gets a little boring at first but once you reach level 55. Death knights are gonna be really really really fun! It is expensive though. $15 for the original, $15 for burning crusade, $15 for wrath of the lich king, $45 in total.
