What happens if you change your lip piercing a couple days after you get it done?
Hey im 15 and got my lip pierced yesterday, yes i got my parents permission, my sister took me. My lip ring/piercing is huge incase if it swelled,, its really long and the bal at the end is huge and i want something small. I clean it a lot with alcoho and use listerine like the guy told me too. He said i can change it in two weeks but i start school in 1 week and its embarassing to go out with a huge balll. I take care of it a lot and i was wondering what would happen if i changed it in a couple of days? Btw it didnt hurt and it didnt get swollen

when i get my lip done i changed it 2 days after and it was perfectly fine. but i would leave it in a couple of days just to make sure it doesnt swell..mine didnt swell much so i didnt need the huge one he put in. but on some people it takes a day or two for the swelling to start, thats what happened with my tongue. now if you change it i would definitely make sure you dont use a really small one thats going to be tight around your lip. you want it to be able to get air so it will heal. the new stud should go straight in though, you shouldnt have any problems with that. ive always heard not to use alcohol on piercings...but if your piercer told you to then you should be ok. good luck!

you might not be able to get the lip ring back into your lip, i think you should wait at least a week.
