Sending an email when I am away from a PC?

Question

I need to email someone next week when I am away from a PC. I need to email them on a certain day to remind them to do something. How can I do this in advance? Are there any sites, etc. with this facility, or can it perhaps be done thorugh Facebook? Thanks.

A surprisingly low-tech (but workable answer) - get a reliable friend to do it!

I believe there are websites that can do this.

Personally, on Linux, I would set up an "at" job like
cat message.txt | mail -s "subject here" user@example.com
and test it to myself first to make sure I'd got the syntax right
