forgeting the rights and wrongs of tuition fees, the libs are all refusing to say how they will vote .surely if they are incapable of making the decision to vote as they promised in their pre election manifesto they are not fit people to run the country.can you imagine a minister bringing a bill to parliament then not voting for it ,whatever our own opinions these amateurs need to be removed from office

Good question, Colin.
Regardless of the country, liberals always pander to the way they believe their voters will favor. Their voters usually come from large population centers, and expect handouts from the government as the price for their predictable, reliable vote.
Source(s): Liberals rely on polling to determine how they will vote, they don't bring with them any widely held values, but produce their opinions based upon what will garner the most votes, but you knew that. - alamoliciousLv 61 decade ago
Easily. They tell lies that the electorate believe and then do the opposite.
Have you noticed how Labour started the policy of letting criminals out of prison early? Now the Tory's and lib/dems are doing it as well. It is a policy all our politicians and political party's support and actively work towards. Evidently they need all like minded people together in one place. I suppose they intend to employ some of their fellow kind in some fashion in the Houses of Parliament. This present government is making cuts to help their economic situation and increase ideas about fiddling expenses so I suppose they figure that more like minded people need to join in with them for the new ideas they would bring. Felons and MPs. One and the same type of person I'd say.

A special note to "Luke" ... ... (and others) ...
The "Liberal Democrats" to which "colin m" is referring in this Question are not opposed by the "Republicans" you refer to. The Question is concerned with politics in the United Kingdom ("England" to most Americans). See the link below to learn about the "Liberal Democrats".
As for your Question "colin m", I'd say that the Answer provided by "piowine" is very accurate. Regardless of your opinions (thanks for sharing them) the system you're operating under "allows" one into office anytime enough of their fellows vote then into the position!
I fear however, that is not what you were asking. A bit of reading at the "destination" of each of the links below will provide the opportunities for you to "embark" on more incisive and explicit verbal forays in the future.
IMHO, you would have more positive effect in "reaching" other voters if you followed the "tips" given in a couple of the links I have supplied below.
(but what would I know about anything - I'm only an American - we only have 2 parties of note - how do ya follow all those guys in your Gov'mint?)

The Lib Dims have no principles. Their voters sit on the fence at choosing one way or the other, their leaders just say "We're not like the other two, therefore vote for us". Nick Clegg eventually lives in the UK (Sheffield, one of the wealthiest parts) with a Spanish wife and has done his best to get himself and his wife grossly over-paid jobs at the EU, same as the Kinnoch family.

They are just there for the position and the job or status. they don't actually get to make any decisions or do anything. they probably wont be able to get voted back any time soon.

Absolutely. I agree. Then, once they have left, the tories will have no mandate to rule and this wretched little sham government will fall. Bring it on.

They are "allowed" to be in government b/c they were voted in. It's NOT just the democrats either.....republicans are guilty as well. I hope you vote! I have NEVER seen a politician do what they promise in their "pre-election manifesto"! They tell you what they think you want to hear to get elected.....then do what they want. All you have to do is get online to find out how they voted.

"these amateurs need to be removed from office"
So you don't believe in that whole 'democracy" thing at all, then? It's nice that you are honest about it, at least!

Republicans are angry old white guys who act like childs. They say they will block anything the Dems do unless they vote for the Bush Tax Cuts for the richest 2% in the country. They want it so that their friends can save some money.
