Why does Google think I speak German?

Question

OK, I live in Switzerland and they speak a German dialect locally, but I only speak English fluently. How do I get Google to stop continually (including gmail) insist German is my preferred language?

I also lived in Switzerland for a while. Unfortunately, I encountered the same problem. With google.ch it was ok because you can click the "English" option. But with Blogger and Gmail, it was German (though I was in French speaking Switzerland). I recommend setting your browser to www.google.com, or learning what button is what :-)

Liebe Sonja , Am mit einer Silvester party bei mir zu Hause. Es wird nächste Woche von 9 bs 12.00 . Für Lebensmittel wir werden mit Kuchen Salat und Wurst haben .
