Problem with email delivery to @vzw.blackberry.net, please help.?

I am having a problem with receiving email on my Blackberry through Verizon. All emails are being returned as undeliverable with the following error message:

SMTP error from remote server after RCPT command:

host mx04.bis.na.blackberry.com[216.9.248.35]:

550 #5.7.1 Your access to submit messages to this e-mail system has been rejected.

Verizon said its a problem with the Blackberry servers (which I agree with) but RIM charges $50 per service call. I was hoping someone might be able to help me here.

This is not an error with the phone itself, but rather the email servers at RIM. Regardless, I have done soft and hard reboots. I have also sent the "Service Books" and done "Register Now" in Options>Advanced Options>Host Routing Table. I found these two suggestions on Blackberry forums.

Please reply with any suggestions. Thanks in advance for your help.

I'm guessing you are sending mail through 1and1.com (mout.perfora.net). The reason I say this, is we are having the exact same issue. It appears 1and1's email server IP address (many of them) have appeared on a blacklist. My advice would be to call 1and1.com's support line and tell them about it. At the very least they will put you on a list of people to contact when it has been resolved.

If you are not sending mail through 1and1.com to your blackberry, then do yourself a favor and use the mxtoolbox blacklist site to see if the IP address in your bounce back message is blacklisted. You'll see the IP address in your "Message Source" where it says "Received: from" at the top.
