Is lip piercing hole infected?

I pierced my lip around 5 months ago and it was completely healed. I decided yesterday to let it close so i took it off for a day. At night i wanted to see if the hole was closed...it was half closed buht half open. i put the piercing on from the front and pushed it in until the back was open(it hurt a lot). so i opened it and then took it off i noticed it was a little swollen but thought it was normal. today i feel i small bump on my lip buht it doesnt hurt and theres no discharge of anything. is it infected or is that normal?
