Toyota corolla T sport bore linings?

Hi,

I want to buy a T sport 1800 cc corolla, i have heard that some of the corolla's have had bore lining issues that burn approx 1 litre of oil over 600 - 1000 miles. Does this affect all the models or just a certain year of build? Does any body have any information on this and give me some details? the year i'm looking to purchase is 03 - 05 plate.

    1 litre of oil in 1000 miles is nothing to worry about - any more than that is.
