Is it likely that most severely obese persons have an associative psychological problem?

Eating oneself into non-functionality seems to signal a kind of underlying malaise.

Some have glandular problems, but also some have psychological ones , and have a compulsion to go to the fridge as a compensation for some problem.

I think over eating is a sign of something psychological going on. I have heard many use the term "comfort eating" Could be a manifestation of feeling depressed that leads to seeing comfort in food so yes.

Of course! All people that are so fat they can hardly move have some kind of psychological problem. People that are just "kinda chubby" might just be lazy or have a medical problem, but if you get so incredibly obese, then yes there's another problem.
