what has happened between a current guy i was meeting.?

i was recently seeing a guy and things seemed to be going well.......we went out for a date and then followed it 2 weekds later with another date, the first night we went to his house for drinks and the second night he came out to mine.....this was over a space of a month...but the day after i texted him and got this gut feeling that something was up?? and i was trying to ignore it but any who three days later, my life completely changed for the good, i was asked if i wanted to go work in america??and told the guy naturally what was after happening,any way as the week went on the texts dried up and when i would text id be waiting a while for a reply anything from an hour to a day!!

what i want to know should i clear the air and find out why things went awkward or should i let it be and not know why he it seemed like he lost interest??

bear in mind ive been asked to move to america in 10 weeks so i know that might be a fraction??

so if u have any opinions to consider??
