Battle of the legends; Khaosai Galaxy vs Johnny Tapia @ Jr Bantamweight?

12 rounds at their respective best. Who wins?

Update:

Edit:

The thumbs down are not from me (except for the 'khan' troll).

Khaosai Galaxy would break Johnny Tapia apart. Galaxy is a legend. Tapia has a lot of heart and I admire him. He comes forward. He doesn't like to tickle opponents and act like a pssy and go defensive and do gayish shoulder rolls that most man with big ballz find cowardly. He fights like a motherfck and attacks like how a real warrior should. But Galaxy is no pansy himself, he has more power in his punches and I expect him to KO Tapia in 7 Rounds.

Both are undefeated in the junior bantamweights although Khaosai holds the division best 19 straight successful title defenses. Galaxy was more natural at that weight and was the most powerful champion winning 16 title defenses by KO earning for him the nickname, Thai Tyson" Khaosai however almost fought exclusively in Thailand and defended his title against a number of Asian challengers contributing to his relative anonymity to Western boxing fans..The more popular Tapia though was no slouch himself at 115 lbs. figuring in 14 world title fights in the division, including 12 title defenses in winning and holding two major belts (WBO and IBF) beating among others bitter Texas rival Danny Romero, Ivan Alvarez and Arthur Johnson before winning the WBA bantamweight title by decision over Julio Eliecer.

Given the fact that Tapia fought and defeated the more noted and variety of opponents in the division and that he was the better as well as more versatile fighter, I would have to give the advantage to Johnny in a fight versus Khaosai. While Khaosai peaked and ended his career at 115 lbs. Tapia was just showing portents of what he can do at the higher banatamweight and featherweight classes in the ensuing year where he would beat foes as Nana Konadu, Cesar Soto and Manuel Medina.

I see Tapia boxing his way to a well deserved 12 round unanimous decision over Khaosai Galaxy in a fight that will be pockmarked by many spirited exchanges.

Ah, the "Thai Tyson". Thanks for remembering him. One of my all time favorite fighters. Galaxy was a terror. i can't imagine Tapia winning the fight, even though Johnny had a heart the size of Texas. Galaxy by late round stoppage.

Galaxy possesses a weak chin. Tapia will maul him to death.
