Should Answers have a section dealing with archaeology and ancient history?

The nearest it seems to offer is a section on anthropology. I know Answers can't cover everything but archaeology is such a fascinating and rapidly developing field of research. Or have I been looking in the wrong place?

Update:

Brendan. Thank you for your helpful and illuminating reply.

thanks spiderman, this question is long overdue, where I live we have people with detectors finding out all sorts of things and some of the items found need identification and they sometimes get called out by farmers who have lost expensive items of machinery and the club members have been able to help them. I'm very interested in the history of the finds and we have difficulty getting the information we need, hopefully answers will do something to help, there's a growing number of us who need answers and that's what this site is supposed to give. many thanks.

In the UK archaeology is certainly not regarded as 'a branch of anthropology' and we should know (having pioneered every field of archaeological studies since the early 18th Century).

Archaeology is the study of the human past through material remains, anthropology on the other hand considers the behavior, and the physical, social, and cultural development of humans.

I agree. I have been thinking the same thing. I'd love a section where ancient history, archeology and the origins of humans were discussed. (At least we now know that, in principle, these issues should be covered in Anthropology).

Archaeology is a branch of anthropology- whenever i have archaeology questions, I post them here and specify that it is physical anthropology that I am looking for as an answer.

There definitely should be a section for this separate from anthropology in general.

    No.
