Doesn't the Tomlinson inquiry just demonstrate that perjury is in the nature of the British bobby?
In 1986 I lived in Wapping and saw the police perjure themselves on a massive scale and consistently act above the law. It seems nothing has changed and the politicians at the time were fellow travelers, afraid of undermining police morale. What chance the Tomlinson inquiry will make an difference? None. Is it too much to ask that a free society can have policemen accountable under the law and upholding the highest standards?

I heard a Scottish Sheriff sum up a case with the following words, "We have the accused`s testimony and we have the Police testimony and not surprisingly they both conflict, but I have decided that we MUST believe the Police story or what kind of a country will we have."
So much for impartiality.

blimey camilla got poked with a stick (apparently ) I saw no bruises and no actual footage and the newspapers went ballistic
yet a man is seen by millions on tv being hit and pushed by a policeman until he died , policemen will never be accountable as they protect large companies politicians and royalty , a lot of police join the force for power as they are power freaks and bullies
