what is shockwave flash. i keep getting a message on my yahoo mail that it has crashed. any ideas thx?

That's a browser plug-in which is needed for most pages. You may have to update it, just google for "flash plug-in updates" - the download site will help you to find the correct plug-in for the browser you are using.
