What is this phenomenon called?

When if you are feeling angry about something, for example, it reminds you of all the other things that have made you angry in the past, and you get angry about those things all over again on top of your anger that you have already, and it feels like you have always been angry!

Or insert other emotion like guilt, joy, sadness, whatever

I know that this is normal, I just need to know what it is called. For an essay. It works for any feeling positive or negative. It's like when you file that new feeling you have to open the filing cabinet in your head and when you do that you spot all the other things that are already filed there and relive them a bit. I know it must have a name. What is it??!

Update:

Le comonrubish - so, like, normal people then.

A memory connected to a set of feelings, so no name.

I dont know the name of it and would like to know myself.

I understand what happens though, when an emotion like anger wells up, all the persons previously associated experiences that have made him angry in the past all come to surface again.

And the same with the other emotions.

hopefully someone knows the name of this, ive never seen it as a phenomenon though.

but there's sure to be a term used in psychology for this.

This mostly happens with repressed superficial people who never truly express their real feelings.

They follow like sheep never really dealing with true honest emotions and fake their actions and reactions rather than expressing how they really feel. This has the tendency to well up as emotions are buried or repressed till something happens to break their dam, and then what you have described happens and old buried emotions, either positive but mostly negative resentments come pouring out. Be true to your feelings and say it as you feel it, even if it means being unpopular or disliked. Have the strength of your convictions.
