Stomach muscle pain during pregnancy, possible pulled muscle, how can I help it to heal?

A week ago I bent down to pick something up off the floor, when sitting on the edge of the bed & felt a pulling pain & ever since I feel pain in that same area. It's not constantly, usually in the afternoon/evening, maybe it's when the top part of my stomach is stretched the most? I felt it a little earlier when I was shopping. It's about 1-1.5 inches above my belly button.

Just wondered how I can help it heal if it is a pulled muscle as I'm 28+ weeks pregnant & my belly isn't getting any smaller!!

Thanks

I have the same thing, mine bothers me the most when im in bed trying to turn over. I told my dr about it and shes not worried. The only thing that is worrisome is if the pain is on the right side, as it could indicate preeclampsia. Look preeclampsia up and see if you have any other symptoms of it and if you do go see your dr right away.

Your core muscles which are act like a belt around your stomach well your groin normally do all your lifting but they have been totally stretched &are continually going to be. The best thing you can do if see if you have a pilates pregnancy class in your area. It is less strenuous than yoga. It's all about building the strength in your core muscles.

I had serious back surgery a few years ago spent 6months in a wheelchair wondering if I'd ever walk again ps I'm fine now totally recovered. But I am missing a disc now &i couldnt live without my pilates exercises my therapists gave me. I also bought a pilates DVD on line. APPI an Australian physic company were recommended to me by the hospital but I find the presenters voice rather dull but it is good. Tescos do one for a fiver which I'm going to try for this pregnancy

    Good luck
