What is the UK's "REAL" Inflation Rate?
And I'm not just talking about the Government Induced Fantasy - I noticed that my car insurance has doubled, the petrol, clothes shoes, drink & food are all a lot more expensive - even my parking charges have doubled - so what is our "Real World" inflation rate....
I asked this question before & I got 2 pompous & smugly rude answers - you can find the original Q/A here - http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Au... - Regardless, and in light of new Utility price increases, I'm asking the same question again...

Everybody sees a different inflation rate depending on how they spent their money, and only you know what yours is. People who do not have a car would not effected by the car related things that are costing you more but are probably spending a larger fraction of their income on housing. Government number are the averages of everyone in the country which is probably not the right answer for anyone.

About 30-35% over a period of 6-7 years. Some things have had a dramatic rise in a short period and most things have had a gradual rise over a longer time so that it wouldn't be so obviously noticed. If you look at stuff you bought say 10 years ago , there is probably an increase of 50-55%. I am not talking governmental statistics , i have just observed and noticed it myself. I think it's high time we had a revolution and got rid of all the thieving , lying , deceitful knob-jockeys that run our so called system....
