Anyone had problem on Samsung laptop after updates?

For the last 48 hours, I have had problems when typing into web pages/forms. Every few keystrokes would activate a function, (volume/brightness/screen off etc). I have a Samsung laptop. I virus checked, contacted Samsung helpline, all to no avail. After hours of swearing and hair pulling, I have now realised that the problem only manifests itself when using Internet Explorer. If I use Google Chrome there is no problem. All I have done over the weekend is download Microsoft updates. As a solution, all I can think of doing is deleting the updates, restoring to a date last week and then download the updates one by one to see which one is causing the problem. Anyone else had a similar problem or can suggest another solution?

Update:

I appreciate the answer sos, but I have been using IE9 for some time without problems.

A few things you can do:

Try reinstalling IE9 and see it that helps

    http://www.beautyoftheweb.com/

Try resetting all Internet Explorer options to default.

click the gear icon at the top right.

    choose internet options.

hit the advance tab at the top.

hit reset button under reset internet explorer settings.

Wouldn't hurt to update your antivirus and do a full scan.

also try running either or both of the following free scanners

    http://www.malwarebytes.org/

    http://www.eset.com/us/online-scanner

That's about all I can think of.

IE9 is the best internet explorer thus far and to my knowledge, doesn't cause problems for many people.

    good luck.

You probably got Internet Explorer 9 in your updates. There has been all kinds of problems with this browser. You can go and remove Explorer 9 which rolls it back to 8.

Next time you do updates, do the "customize" option to eliminate seeing 9 again.
