What modern boxing greats do you think would not be so great if he still had 15 round championship fights?

Of all the great boxers we've had since the ibf and wba joined the wbc & shortened world title fights to 12 rounds in 1987 / 1988, who would not be considered as great if title fights were still 15 rounders?

I've heard it suggested that guys like de la hoya & whitaker (to name but two) would not be held in the same esteem if circumstances were different (not necessarily my opinion).

What say you?

Please don't just name a particular boxer because you happen hate him or a faction of his most outspoken fans. Let's keep this civil and thank you in advance.

I think the following post-15 round fight greats would not be as great if forced to fight 15 rounder title fights:

    1. Mike Tyson----style was fitted for short fights

    2. Wladimir Klitschko----though with defensive skills, stamina is suspect; also susceptible to injury.

    3. Vitali Klitschko-----also looks to end fight ASAP but in extended action, stamina is also suspect, susceptible to injury/damage

    4. Oscar de la Hoya---who could forget his faltering against Trinidad and Bhop?

    5. Kostya Tyszu----style was fitted for short fights

    6. Ricky Hatton-----style fitted for abbreviated endings; his boozing hurt his stamina and career.

    7. Miguel Cotto-----could box if needed but is given to brawling which could cause damage effecting late fight performance.

    8. Marco Antonio Barrera-----same as above

    9. Erik Morales-----same as above

    10. Evander Holyfield----same as above.

  • Shane Mosley (seems like he also fades late)

Oscar De La Hoya (he usually fades in the end)

Miguel Cotto (He takes too much punishment early on)
