You're probably never likely to get a good idea of the quality of a TV in a store due to the lighting and the fact that display models are running on an " in store" setting rather than the home settings. Also the signals that stores supply to their display TVs are a bit rubbish to say the least. A blu-ray player plugged in directly into the TV with the TV (set to home mode) in a dark corner if possible would be a better indication of quality than in the middle of the TV section of the shop.

If you have scanned all the reviews on this TV and are happy that it fulfils your requirements then go for it. TVs that are on show in most stores aren't set up correctly anyway. I must say that when seeing some of the stores idea of what a skin tone should be, if I had a skin that colour I'd be up the hospital like a rocket. Try going to a Panasonic store. The nearest one to you can be found on their website.

    Good Luck.
