How can an individual have ANY responsibility for the fate of the world?

This notion is paraded by politicians trying to browbeat the populace & put us on a guilt trip...

Because of the interconnectivity of our world and the domino effect, our influence is wider than we experience. I know that when I see someone smiling across the road, it makes me that little bit happier, which leads to me smiling more and spreading the joy. This joy will change the behaviour of everyone it touches, even if it is not immediate in some people, if it they see it persistently, you can change someone's worldview and behaviour. It is the same with all our deeds.

A nation is more effectively led by the good example of a few people, than by any number of politicians telling people what to do from on high.

    God bless.

Almost by definition, politicians are diplomats. So you cannot expect them to take responsibility for / toward keeping your/my little piece of the big wide world in oder for us.

I am thinking of the Chinese adage, well Worth remembering (it`s stayed in my mind helpfully for @ 30 years...),

"I can tell you are a diplomat, from how well you conceal your claws."

So, it`s down/up to doing the best we can, under the duress of disbelief.

Sorry, but I have been O.T.T. many times, sad, but really, it`s so... even trying to harmoniously co-exist is exacting.. hope this is not too cynical, (Oh, I forgot The wizard of Oz!.)

    An individual? No.

    Accumulative? Absolutely.

Negating neglectful destructive behavior in large amounts starts with the self, since that, as individuals, is all we truly have control over.

(You make the bed you sleep in, don't piss in your drinking water, symbiosis lasts longer than domination, etc.)

Well Jesus Christ died for our sins. The president has "football" suitcase always near him. It holds the key to turn on every nuke we have and launch them off. Also the anti-Christ will one day

We don't have responsibility, but it's the compassionate and considerate thing to do.
