Yappy little dogs being cemented in - interpretation?

This is a part of a friend's dream, posted with permission:

Its dark and raining and I am walking towards my van (an old one, no longer running in real life) and see a man with "salt a pepper hair" picking up some recycling. I help, and then realize that it is my recycling, and so I tell him I need to have the bins back.

Flash forward, we are at an apartment building. There is a big structure being built of concrete and cement out front. Some tenants out in front seem to be happy about this, because the structure was such that they won't have to walk up and down stairs anymore to get inside. The 'salt and pepper' haired man is there, and he laughs to say "yes, this is my project. No one will care what happens to their yappy little dogs".

He gets 3-4 little dogs that are on leaches, and puts them in the structure. He puts in some bricks, too, and closes a lid over them. I know that they will suffocate soon, and I wonder why they were not barking and whining. It seems like a cruel, evil, plan and I am upset.

An older car, with maybe 3 men and 3 women, and children not buckled in, comes barrelling down the driveway. They all have clothes with a nice fabric - white with dark pink/red flowers, and are laughing and carrying on. They drop of a bunch of dars and leave, still happy, with no cares or sense of right and wrong. I think of the word "gypsies" to describe them.

Flash forward to a house (the salt and pepper haired man's) in the same city. We are driving a horse hitched to a cart, and there is something we need to do here - find something to incriminate him? We have some of our nieces with us. We go in, but I am telling everyone to hurry, the man could come back. I am anxious not to meet up with him. We clear out, but forgot something. Some of us go back in, and downstairs I find my daughter and her fiance, with their dogs [yes, they are small and yappy, in real life] just hanging around. I say" you have to get out right away. This man is evil, he is trying to get all the small dogs he can and kill them."

So they get worried and leave right away. We wait on the sidewalk to get picked up by the horse and cart, whose driver was instructed to just go around the block once while we went in the second time.

Update:

"leaches" should be leashes

Update 2:

dars should be dogs - sorry folks.

I have found that dogs usually represent loyalties or traditions. Yappy little dogs (puppies) could represent practices that are fresh and new and maybe even a times annoying, but very much alive. Some ideas, practices, or loyalties may be somewhat immature in the beginning. Some people with fresh ideas, " New voices," may be immature in the beginning, or be perceived as immature by people with "salt and pepper" hair.

People with salt and pepper hair may represent the older generation, or a transitional generation ( people in their forties and fifties perhaps) who have the responsibility of integrating the new with the old wisely, discerning what is just garbage, what needs to be recycled for reuse, and what needs to be kept because it still has value. This is is really important in the area of traditioni, practices, and new ideas. When we are going through our own "sorting process" none of us would want someone else to make those decisions for us. We might be open to someone else's opinion, but we have to make our own sorting choices for ourselves.

When new voices, information, ideas or practices emerge in any social structure, the common human tendency is to "cement" them. This can be done in 3 ways: stonewall them (shut them out); compartmentalize them (give them their own seperate category or department so they will not interfere with the traditional practices; or enshrine them as law, inflexible and unmovable. Of course, any of these approaches well choke the life out of your "yappy little dogs."

"Gypsies " (people not part of the specific social structure, ie family, church, company, organization) may come by with their fresh ideas and practices, and even be received with more welcome than voices from within the structure. Remember, a prophet is not without honor except in his own country. Even after the gypsies have left, their ideas may still be concreted into the traditions of the organization even after they have served purposes and need to be discarded.

Another reason some people are "gypsies " is because they are not allowed to contribute, so they move on. Someone with a long association with that organization may envy the gypsies freedom but have too strong a loyalty to be happy just walking away. Gypsies tend to move from 1 social structure to another looking for place to belong. This is often an unsolvable dilemma.

I should've mentioned sooner that apartments can represent an institutionalization of people, faith, ideas, or other important but intangible human values. It can also represent the compartmentlization of those values. It also provides the locked door that keeps people and ideas out.

The important thing here is to find a balance and what we embrace and what we reject. Perhaps a screen door instead of a security door would allow the fresh air in and keep the bugs out. Yappy little dogs need to be treated with respect. They can warm the heart, and, with a bath, their shots &good nutrition, grow up to be sheepdogs, guard dogs, and guides for the blind.

Source(s): Can't teach an old dog new tricks BUT a good Dog is man's best friend. Do not throw what is valuable to the dogs, but remember even the little dogs can eat the crumbs that fall from the rich man's table. He who lies down with dogs will rise up with fleas, but on a cold night you might wish for 2 or 3 of them to keep you warm.

Dreams have no hard and fast rules to interpret , just a wave of mind on the given day having limited hidden meanings. Normally, they depict the desires, events and anxiety on stress event. So the same can be interpreted in this perspective better by the dreaming person himself .Normally , repressed love or sex desires are seen in ex, crush, bf, stranger man or woman and stress and insecurity in nightmares, spiders, Zombies, snakes ,ghosts or alike factors but there nothing to be worried. Pregnancy dreams means, u are scared to be preggo or if pregoo fear to lose baby It is for the time being reaction of mind in the given circumstance. May Lord keep all of us in peace and best of luck x

You've come a long way since this question b/c you are basically a pro at dreams now. You've helped me with a dream before and you did a great job. Have you ever heard of a Pterolycus? I randomly dreamed of one today is was extremely majestic and a sight to see but I have no idea what it means.
