Would it be possible for users of this forum to employ italics?

Often I need to use italics for emphasis or for a Latin plant/animal name. If I use capitals I am told that I am shouting.

Been asked for many times on the Answer Suggestion Board including Bold and Underlining.

Yahoo have said they were going to, a very long time ago but as yet nothing has transpired.

Just put the Latin name in brackets like for instance Cat [Felis catus] or like

Raven [Latin: Corvus corax] and your not shouting!
